The CPI 490 series activates the computer's mouse
and keyboard once a credit card is swiped on the
Vx570 terminal. The system then bills for minutes
used at a price set by the business owner.
The CPI can also monitor and charge for pages
printed by the customer. Up to 4 work stations
(computers) can share the same printer.
For locations where a network printer is used to
print from more than 4 stations, Print Release
Software can be used with a CPI 420 system so
paying with a credit card at the printer can be
done before printing the documents.
The system is hardware based and can operate
with current print release software.
