How the CPI system works:
Insert a credit or debit card into the card reader. The
card is validated in about 5 seconds, if OK, the CPI
system turns the copy machine, printer or computer on
and makes it ready to operate.
When done using the machine, press the blue button
on the CPI system, this debits all sales from the credit
card swiped.
Transactions are processed, much like using a credit
card to buy gasoline at a self-serve station.
